Royals win the World Series!!

Hey all! I’m back to blogging which I’m super excited about! I have lots to talk about now especially since expecting a little one next year!

Since today is my first day back at it i found it appropriate to blog about the ROYALS!! The huge celebration parade starts in about 15 mins!!

What an exciting time for KC as the Royals have won the World Series this year. The whole city is in an excited uproar. Schools are closed, people are off work or ditching work to either attend or watch the parade from their tv at home. I have chose the latter.

I am SUPER excited for the Royals and all the fans as this is history for KC! It is very cool to see how alive the city has become and how everyone is so happy and have come to celebrate over their victory.

I will admit I am not a huge baseball fan. BUT I really got into watching the games here towards the end and caught a big of the KC Royals bug because it was just such a good series! I had a hard time staying awake thru all of them that had extra innings but I think I’ve come a long way! I was disappointed that I awoke to what sounded like a bomb or a gunshot going off only to realize I fell asleep during the last game and the Royals managed to somehow pull off the win and won the whole dang thing and I missed it!

My clients have rescheduled and rearranged their workout today so that they could go to the parade or watch. So I had 2 clients very early this morning to try to get back up north before I got stuck in all the commotion downtown. I’m not going to the parade and honestly don’t really want to but I can’t somehow shake the feeling that I SHOULD be going, that I’m missing out. This is a BIG deal for the city, a part of KC history, but I just don’t have a desire to be among the crowd. I am alone in this?? Rewind to 7-10 years ago and I would be dying to go and already had some pre-drinks and ready to go! My how things change. But all I can really think about is the crowd, the parking, the mess….but yet am I missing out?! I feel safe at home and know that Lil Bear is safe too and somehow that comforts me.

I hope everyone else stays safe and has fun. I can’t help but think of all my clients who are out and about today and hope they are making good decisions as well having fun…but not TOO much fun. ;P

Way to go KC ROYALS!!

My Sweet Emmy
