Delicious Fruit Pizza

delicious fruit pizza recipe perfect sweet treat to take to any event

You know you can’t go wrong whenever there’s “pizza” in the title! I must admit I’m a bit of a pizza snob & I’m pretty specific about what pizza I like, but this spin on a dessert pizza gets two thumbs up from me! A few of my favorite things (sugar cookies & fruit) are put together for a super yummy recipe that’s always a win at any event you bring this to.

I recently took these fruit pizzas to family events over Easter weekend & I didn’t come back with leftovers. My pregnant sister in law was especially excited about it! A fruit pizza is a perfect sweet treat for ANY event & it’s really simple to make which is always a bonus for a busy mama like myself.

Fruit Pizza

Crust: To keep it simple, I used a tube of Pillsbury pre-packaged refrigerated sugar cookie dough.(If you wanna get fancy by all means make it homemade but nobody is ever going to care or even know but YOU.) I rolled it out with a rolling pin sprinkled with a bit of powered sugar on a round pizza pan & baked it at 350 for 10-12 minutes. (follow directions on your package). You want to take it out when the edges are slightly brown but your middle probably won’t look done. Don’t over bake it!

Icing: (Icing recipe from Pinterest from lemonpeony)

  • 1/2 Stick Butter
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 1/3 Cup Powdered Sugar

Directions: Soften butter & cream cheese. Add in vanilla. Slowly add powdered sugar until desired consistency. (I used an electric mixer.)

After your cookie has cooled & icing is made, ice your cookie & add your favorite fruit toppings! I used strawberries, grapes, blueberries & kiwi. You can get creative with the presentation which is the fun part!

My little one had to have a taste of the yummy icing!

Colorful, sweet, yummy & easy! Fruit pizza is always a a great choice if you need an idea of something to bring to a family event, bbq, potluck, shower, you name it! Enjoy!
